Super Junior

Super Junior has had some personnel changes that are interesting to say the least. Though the K-pop group originally consisted of 13 different performers, there are ten today.
Despite this, the three individuals who have moved on still claim to be members of the group. Kang-in had left the organization to fulfill his military service requirement. Kibum left because he wanted to pursue an acting career. Han Geng has left to return to his native China.
In fact, there have been several connections that Super Junior made in the People’s Republic of China, and these have been fraught with controversy and gossip. When the band announced they would start promoting in that county, there was a decent level of fan outrage.
A new subgroup, Super Junior-M, was formed that references the word Mandarin in the name. To protest the addition of new members, a fan website known as Only 13 popped up.
Some fans planned to boycott SM Entertainment’s products while others settled into a silent protest. There were even efforts to gain a controlling interest in the company to let fans plan Super Junior’s moves.
Fans had purchased 58,206 shares of stock in SM Entertainment by March 20, 2008. This represented only 0.3% of the company’s total volume, but the fans stated that they would use every change they got to prevent Super Junior from ending up with some extra members.
As if Super Junior hadn’t seen enough controversy, there was a disagreement with the Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation over the time-slot that Kang-in would be appearing in.
In protest, MBC put a temporary ban on performances featuring other members of Super Junior on their network. Kang-in also ended up loosing his ability to MC events on Show! Music Core. These would ultimately go to T.O.P. of Big Bang.
A lawsuit over contract rights that involved Han Geng’s termination with SM Entertainment simply added more flame to the fire. To top it off, Han Geng had a number of performance restriction controversies. Add this to the news of a conflict during the Expo 2010, and fans have plenty to talk about between releases.

Song Hye Kyo Poster

On March 8th, the agencies of actor Hyun Bin and actress Song Hye Kyo officially announced that they had broken up in January.
We would like to apologize for not informing you of this information earlier. The two will work to show their best in their own respective positions.”
The two agencies released a joint statement, that reads as follows:
“We would like to inform the public that Hyun Bin and Song Hye Kyo decided to part ways earlier this year.

The two met in 2008 through the drama, ‘The World They Live In‘, and carefully acknowledged their love soon after to the public.
However, due to their busy drama, movie, and overseas schedules, they naturally weren’t able to pay as much attention as the other needed. The excessive amount of attention from those around them was pressuring, as well as the stress they received regarding unfounded rumors detailing their break-up. They did not have the time or freedom to overcome such obstacles, leading to an inevitable gap in their relationship.
Eventually, the two agreed to part ways earlier this year. Hyun Bin and Song Hye Kyo did not release an official statement because they did not want the public’s attention to be taken away from their respective works. Hyun Bin also did not want to bring up such a personal matter while greeting the public for the final time before his enlistment. Such is the reason why we postponed the release of this information until the 8th.

Oops, I completely forgot

After sweeping all the music show awards for weeks on end with “Mr. Simple,” Super Junior is back with their follow-up song “A-CHA,” which is a Korean phrase that’s synonymous with “Oops, I completely forgot!”
The remaining 8 members of the originally-13-member boy band held their return performance today on Music Bank and the response has been enormous (not that we’re surprised).
But with member Siwon busy filming his new drama Poseidon and Heechul away at basic training preparing for his 2 year paper-pushing military job, we can’t help but notice how spacious the stage looks.
Earlier today, SM Entertainment released the teaser for “A-CHA,” heightening the anticipation for the full music video, especially since we get a glimpse of the two newly-departed members.
Super Junior’s got a pretty good track record for successful follow-up singles — take “No Other” after “Bonamana” and “It’s You” after “Sorry Sorry,” for example — and “A-CHA” is already shaping up to exceed initial expectations.
Though the release of the song first elicited some disappointment from fans for being, well, just another SM song that could have been given to any of the SM artists, from TVXQ to f(x), the explosive performance and MV teaser may just change their minds.
What do you think? Without Siwon and Heechul in the picture, will “A-CHA” even get a chance to taste the popularity “Mr. Simple” enjoyed?
ELFs all over the world are busily celebrating Super Junior's Shindong's 27th birthday today, but the honor of the first birthday message went to none other than KARA's goddess Gyuri!
Fellow "Shimshimtapa" DJ and friend Gyuri updated her Twitter on September 28 with the message, "Today, September 28, is Shindong oppa's birthday! Dongie oppa, have a happy birthday! Everyone, please congratulate his birthday!"
Shindong promptly replied back, "Gyuri was the first to congratulate my birthday! Truly the amazing woman."
The official Twitter of "Shimshimtapa" also updated with a picture of the two with a special birthday cake provided by Gyuri. Netizens said, "I can feel Gyuri's genuine feelings for Shindong," "So you were the first to congratulate him!" and "It's so nic eto see their friendship."
Happy birthday, Shindong!

Wonder Girls at the Apollo

In the midst of promoting their new song, Super Junior members have revealed who's next up in leaving for the military.
Lee-teuk and Hee-chul have announced their plans on enlisting for their compulsory military duties in 2012.
Both Lee-teuk and Hee-chul were born in 1983, making them 28 this year. Koran law states that Korean men are required to enlist by the age of 29.
No other specific details were released. However, it does appear that their current new 5th album will be their last before enlistment. Earlier, the group also revealed plans for a world tour before enlistment.K-pop band Wonder Girls will star in a serialized TV show in the United States called "Wonder Girls at the Apollo," their agency JYP Entertainment said on Sunday.
The show will be broadcast in the first quarter of next year on Teen Nick, a TV station for teenagers, with at least six episodes scheduled to run.
JYP and Nick Cannon's movie company, N'credible, signed a broadcast contract with Teen Nick, the MTV Network subsidiary owned by Viacom. It promises exposure for the girls to over 70 million households in the U.S.
Chairman Nick Cannon, the actor-singer husband of Mariah Carey, saw the Wonder Girls' growth potential in the U.S. market and accepted the film production, JYP said. Filming will start in October, and the girls will release their debut album in the U.S. as an original soundtrack in synch with the TV show. They first broke into the U.S. market two years ago with an English version of their hit single "Nobody."
"Secret Garden" Lee Jong-suk has been cast for "High Kick 3, The Short Legs Counterattack".
Lee Jong-suk will play Ahn Jong-seok, the son of Ahn Nae-sang and Yoon Yoo-seon, who is random and chic in the MBC daily sitcom "High Kick 3, The Short Legs Counterattack" coming this 19th of September.
Lee Jong-suk gained popularity as the proud musician in the drama "Secret Garden" and then was cast for the movie "Flight: Closer to the Sun", firming his base as an actor.
The youngest former model actor in the country, he said, "I am curious about the new character I am about to act and I hope you look forward to it".
"Ryoo Seung-beom is close Dok Go-jin". Kong Hyo-jin didn't hesitate in judging her lover. As soon as she was asked the question who Ryoo Seung-beom was closer to; Dok Go-jin or Yoon Pil-joo she answered right away. She divided their similarities into three parts. "Dok Go-jin and Seung-beom love themselves.
Very strongly. Yoon Pil-joo thinks of others before him. Second, they ate both humorous and third, they have miid swings. I think that's why they're not boring".
How was Ryoo Seung-beom's reaction to "The Greatest Love"? He had told her that she was a really 'cool actress'. "He said 'who would be able to do something like that?' when he saw the scene with me in the frog outfit. A while ago he said, 'Thanks, you're famous'". She then continued,
"I think love based on trust is "The Greatest Love". It's something that needs time and effort and it's not easy".

K-music concert

All thanks to Nuffnang and Tune Talk, Natalie and I get to merge into the K-pop crowd last night; for free! :) Yes, I have been listening to the K-music these 2 years starting from the love for SuJu. I am now learning their language too!
However, I still can’t get myself to spend for this concert no matter how much I want to join the other fans because my favourites are not in it. So yeah, thank you and thanks again for the free tickets. We appreciated and enjoyed the night! :D
Organised by Galaxy Group, Proof Label and Tomato. M, this actually happened in Malaysia for the first time by them for the Hallyu fans here! We are requesting for more now!!!
Last evening, Natalie and I went to the venue with another friend of hers, Dawn one hour before the event started. We had quick bites and fun chatting moments outside of the stadium. Natalie and Dawn met a Korean guy who worked for the Korea Tourism Organisation during the concert. I was listening to their conversation (not eavesdropping!) to see if I could understand them.
Just to check my Korean language understanding level ;p I could pick a few pointers and understand them but when he talked to me in Korean.. I acted as if I didn’t know when I clearly understood.
I was shy T_T And because my tickets were not with me, I had to wait till Joshua arrives. He was late and worried that we will be mad at him. Haha we weren’t because it was Jay Chou or Super Junior performing. We weren’t because he had to trouble him to get us the tickets… but he owes us ice-cream anyway! Hahaha.
Before he arrived, I heard screaming from the inside already. I knew the singers are out, performing already. I’m not a big fan of them, or not even a fan but yet, I was a little nervous. I never had such a feeling or experience to stay outside when the concert is happening already. It was weird but fine! Hahaha.
We enter the stadium around 40 minutes after the schedule time, when F.T. Island was already performing. Natalie missed one of her favourite song, I think. Here are the pictures but I’m sorry if they are not up to your expectations. I’m sorry if they pictures are not as good as the previous concert pictures I took because I was seated quite far from the stage.
#01 I’m not very familiar with this group and their songs but I’ve definitely know them from the K-pop news and all. Here is some quick FAQs about the group! Hahaha F.T. Island is made out of 5 male members; Choi Jong Hun, Lee Hongki, Lee Jae Jin, Choi Min Hwan and Song Seung Hyun. F.T. stands for Five Treasure anyway, which I think is to describe the guys.#02 I cannot remember how many and what songs they sang. I’m sorry.
#03 The emcees of the event – Jeff Chin from MyFm, Kevin Woo and Dongho from U-KISS and.. erm.. I’m sorry I dont know who that guy is but he speaks fluent English and Korean. I’m guessing that he’s not a local. Anyways, Kevin speaks really good English and Dongho speaks very good Chinese. I was impressed!
#04 Up next it was Teen Top who performed on stage. A group of young stars – C.A.P, Chunji, L.Joe, Niel, Ricky and Changjo. The eldest member among is not even 18 yet!
#05 I personally thinks that the leader is the one who look the best among. Natalie ah… Niel, the guy whom we thought is the leader of the group isn’t the leader! Hahahaha I think the leng chai is the leader but I dont know why Niel was featured all the time.
#06 It was 4Minutes next!! The only girls who participated in the Korean Music Wave 2011, the Malaysia edition.
#07 Ji Hyun, Ga Yoon, Ji Yoon, Hyuna and So Hyun are the names of these pretty girls. And weirdly, they are the only group on stage that night whom gave me goosebumps for every song they sang!
I didn’t know why but it happened. Every single song they sang……
..#08 Songs that I know and performed was Hot Issue, I My Me Mine, Heart to Heart and For Muzik.

SuJu songs

I hope you’d like the way I arrange the SuJu songs in my playlist into a paragraph—like a cheesy love letter or something. Here it goes:
Remember that “It’s You” (Neorago)… So I promise to “Love U More” and won’t even feel “Sorry Sorry” singing the “Energy Song” just for you on the “First Snow”. It’s gonna be “Full Of Happiness” (Haengbok) and “Miracle”! This is my “Way For Love”… that as I look in the “Mirror” having the thoughts to “Marry U” , I see “Me” singing our “Love Song” that even everything goes away “At Least I Still Have You”. I don’t know “Why I Like You” but – it’s just “U” and me, “A Man In Love”. So “Don’t Don” on this “One Love” that is brighter than the “Sapphire Blue”. And as your “Wonder Boy” I’ll throw a “Pajama Party” where I’ll go “Cooking Cooking” and that at the same time “Dancing Out” my stuffs.

I want you to know that everyday is a “Lovely Day” with “Our Love” going stronger. Believe me that you are “The One I Love”, and the past has already been “Reset”, so now the clocks “ Tic Toc” anew for it’ll sure be a “Success” and a “H.I.T.” “I Am” “Happy Together”, not that “She’s Gone”, but because I may “Hate U Love U” at times, but I’ll Go "Missing U” for an “Endless Moment”. Hence, I write this “Song For You” to “Thank You” because “You Are The One”… “Just You”, my “Shining Star”, that I won’t regret it even if it’s a “Love Disease” that will turn me into a “Monster”.

Love Rain

Huh, script reading already? Love Rain isn’t scheduled to air till 2012, but the main cast convened recently for its first script reading, which included actors Jang Geun-seok, Yoon-ah, Kim Shi-hoo, Sohn Eun-seok, Hwang Bora, and Seo In-gook. (I use the term scheduled loosely; technically Love Rain isn’t scheduled at all, in that it doesn’t have a concrete timeslot, but producers are aiming to secure a broadcast slot for early next year.)
Regarding the drama’s story, Yoon PD said, “There were a lot of one-sided loves in the ’70s era, a time period that the actors haven’t experienced for themselves.
It was also a happy time, and the script reflects a lot of the emotions and experience that still linger in my memory.” According to one production company source, “Veteran PD Yoon Suk-ho led the proceedings and explained everything in detail, not leaving out even the smallest thing.”
Yoon-ah, playing two roles as a university student in the 1970s and her plucky daughter in 2012, said, “The two characters have conflicting traits, so I felt the burden of playing both roles. But after working with the director, writer, and other actors I feel like we fit well together, which is reassuring.”
Sounds like Yoon PD has a very specific idea for what he wants to achieve, and I predict the drama will heavily bear his imprint: Scenic locales, a mood-enhancing soundtrack, a strong dose of sentimentality, and lots of melodramangst. In all the news about Yoon Suk-ho and his young cast, I hadn’t paid as much attention to the writer, but now that I remember that Oh Soo-yeon worked on Season Dramas Autumn Fairy Tale (scriptwriter) and Winter Sonata (initial writer), as well as the Cinderella story All About Eve and the extremely angsty A Star’s Lover, I’m feeling warier than ever.
I love a good melodrama and I’m not averse to angst, but I hope Love Rain’s pure-love and fated-through-the-generations premise can convey youthful melodrama in a new way, rather than giving us Hallyu Dramas Redux.

Yesung-flower boy

Super Junior‘s Yesung recently shared a selca that showcased his wit.
On September 22nd, Yesung tweeted, “I was trying to sleep, but what the heck is this flower?? There seems to be a lot of living organisms that look similar to me, like this flower and cats.”
The photo shows a comparison between a cartoon flower and Yesung in a strange costume. The striking resemblance between the flower and Yesung, especially with their eyes, had netizens rolling with laughter.
Netizens commented, “That flower has his charismatic eyes as well as his cuteness!”, “Oppa, you are a true flower boy,” and “Thank you for letting me start off my morning with a laugh.”
Yesung, along with the rest of Super Junior, will be making a comeback with their follow up track “A-Cha” on ‘Music Bank’s September 23rd episode. Stay tuned for updates!

Super Junior-M’s Henry

On March 1st, Super Junior-M’s Henry guested on SBS’s “Strong Heart“, and shared some hilarious stories about his first impressions of the Super Junior members.
When asked by the MCs to describe the experience, Henry replied, “Korean men easily put their arms around each other’s shoulders, as well as give light touches, but to foreigners, actions like that can be mistaken as gay.”
Henry revealed that when he first met the members, they greeted him by lightly hitting his butt. “I honestly thought they were all gay. I misunderstood Leeteuk, since he was the one who slapped my butt the most.”
But what surprised Henry the most was his encounter with the “Space Big Star”, Kim Hee Chul “His hair was long, like a girl’s, and he was so pretty, so I thought he was a transgender at first.”
Hilariously, Henry wasn’t alone when it came down to culture shock; Eunhyuk revealed that he was equally shocked when Henry began calling SM Entertainment’s Lee Soo Man, ‘Mr. Lee’.
Henry clarified, “I didn’t know who he was at first, and someone told me that he was SM’s boss. I just greeted him by saying, ‘Hey, Mr. Lee.’ I told him that I’d contact him if he gave me his business card.”
Eunhyuk added, “Henry still calls him ‘Mr. Lee.’” When asked how Lee Soo Man responded, Eunhyuk replied, “He accepts it since we’re all friends.”

His father was against his dream of singing but soon made a deal with Kyu Hyun, seeing how he expressed such interest in singing. The driver lost control of the vehicle as the van flipped over on its right side. Kyu Hyun, who was sitting behind the driver’s seat when the accident occurred, was the most injured and had a fractured hip, pneumothorax from broken ribs, and facial scratches and bruises. He was slipping in and out of consciousness and was mute because of the shock. Kyu Hyun spent 6 days in the ICU before he was moved to a regular hospital room. Kyu Hyun also did not need the respiratory machine anymore to support his breathing, though it was said that he was only able to walk on his own one month after the accident. Kyu Hyun was discharged on July 5, 2007 after 78 days.

From the 15th of December to 30 January next year, he will be acting with Yoo Jun Sang, Im Ki Jun, Kim Mu Yul, TRAX’s lead vocalist Jay, and Dana at the Chungmu Art Hall.

The album brought immense popularity to the group after their long hiatus, allowing Super Junior to appear regularly in several variety shows and endorsements. They also held their second official Asia Tour, Super Show II.
Kyu Hyun featured on Yoo Youngsuk’s 20th anniversary tribute album, singing his first solo: a remake of Yoo’s hit song “7년간의 사랑” (“7 Years of Love”). He first performed the song on July 10, 2009 on Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketch Book, the episode airing 2 days later. Super Junior’s “Highway Romance”?

After winning their triple crown Mutizen on Inkigayo with “Mr. Simple” and unveiling some of their Super Show 4 concert dates earlier this week, Super Junior made an appearance on tonight’s episode of Music Bank. Last week, they also took home their fourth win on Music Bank, despite not being physically present to receive the award.
Clad in different colored hanboks, the members of Super Junior showed the audience their rendition of “Highway Romance”. They demonstrated their affections to each other as group members by holding hands, pumping up the crowd with their energetic natures. They also acknowledged the fans’ support and intermittently waved to members of the audience.
Have you seen Super Junior’s “Highway Romance”?
On tonight’s Music Bank, audience members were treated to a special performance in the form of Super Junior performing “Highway Romance” along with U-Kiss’s comeback with “Neverland” and “Someday”.
Other artists who performed include G.NA, who recently made her comeback with “Top Girl”, Davichi, Dal Shabet, Nine Muses, Infinite, SISTAR, and MBLAQ.
Infinite also performed a remixed version of their track “Be Mine”.
While the artists who performed demonstrated strong performances, it was Super Junior who took home the K-Chart for this week, winning for the fifth time with “Mr. Simple”. Last week, they were not physically present to receive the award, but they were able to accept it this time around. Congratulations to them!

Super Junior 13 members

Super Junior is a Korean male idol group comprised of 13 members who are managed by SM Entertainment. Excluding Hangeng who is involved in a lawsuit, Kangin who is in the army, and Kim Kibum who is focusing on his acting, they are currently working as a 10 member group. They are enhancing the nation’s prestige and are promoting Korea in other countries, but their work is still fruitless. We look forward to them going beyond the idea of a group to becoming the national brand to return home in glory in the future.
Korean pop culture’s fever that started in the end of 1990s in Southeast Asia has now gone beyond Asia and is spreading in Europe. So many news media including newspaper and internet news articles are reporting about Hallyu announcing the enhanced status of Korea. We found out about proud men of Korea, Super Junior who was recently called a moving enterprise and is setting records at every moment.
Since before the debut, Super Junior received a lot of attention for having the most number of people in a group. With their perfect choreography, they captivated the public’s eye and they are garnering attention for their future moves. The word “celebrity” (yunyaein) using the Chinese characters display yun, talent yae, and人 person means a person who displays his or her talent. Just like how the word means, they are celebrities.
They showed off their power by becoming the first artist ever in the history of Taiwan’s music chart to be number 1 for a year and setting a new record for staying on number one for the longest time. They broke their own record of being number one for a total of 36 weeks with their third album title track “Sorry Sorry.” They cannot have set an amazing record simply because of their music. What are their appeals?
The word “celebrity” includes singers and dancers and Super Junior satisfies all of those categories. Recently, their fourth album title track “Miinah” which was released last year set a new record when the song stayed at number one for 54 weeks on Taiwan’s biggest online music site KKBOX’s Korean Japanese music Top 100 weekly chart.
Enchanting people’s hearing.
The group had various unit activities such as Super Junior M which targets Chinese speaking countries, Super Junior K.R.Y. which shows its diverse emotions through musical and drama OST, and Super Junior Happy who sings Super Junior’s unique, cheerful and fun music. They worked hard as singers continuing to try various types of music. They received some criticisms that they only sing hook songs that people can remember easily with its repetitive melody and simple lyrics. However, in an album that usually contains over 10 songs, there are only few hook songs.
The album ranked higher than the albums from world pop stars such as Usher, Black Eyed Peas, and Ke$ha. Also, even though the group did not hold any promotional activity in Japan, their first single album became number two on the Oricon weekly chart, breaking the record in having the highest album sales for a debut single in Japan. England’s BBC praised highly of Super Junior who stands tall as the main characters of Hallyu K-pop dubbing them a Korean brand that will replace Samsung.
There are many high quality songs that definitively show their development. But because the response on hook songs is great, they rank high on online music charts and receive more press. Moreover, nowadays when things change fast and people get sick of things easily, the music industry’s main source of income has become mp3.
Thus, the management companies are reluctant to release albums which will end up in financial loss and the companies end up using hook songs as title tracks to gain popularity easily. Although it’s the trend in the music industry that mp3s equal financial gain, Super Junior accomplished an achievement of being number seven on the world album chart with their fourth album Miinah.
Captivating people’s sight.
Nowadays, there is no clear distinction between singers and actors that one can see singers in movies, dramas, and on TV. In Super Junior, there is a member who stands next to actors with his looks and acting skills that are comparable to any other actor’s. Siwon debuted as an actor before becoming a singer in 2005 with Eighteen Twenty-nine. In 2007, he was chosen as the lead alongside Andy Lau in Battle of Wits. Recently, he played a new elite agent Kim Junho in Athena: The Goddess of War leaving short yet strong impression with viewers. People were able to confirm his potentials. There are also Kibum, Donghae, and Heechul who appeared on TV showing diverse characters. As a group who has great looks, the movie The Attack on the Pin-up boys was released with Super Junior as the lead. Also, Super Show 3D movie was exported mesmerizing audience with their performance and choreography.
Satisfying five senses.
Super Junior who faithfully worked as celebrities to satisfy viewers’ demands. Their advancement in variety programs is amazing where they can show their skills as celebrities. Wherever they go, they make viewers happy by either become supporting actors, MCs or guests. Teuk Academy comprised of Leeteuk, Eunhyuk, and Shindong especially present laughter and are willing to look funny. Compared to other celebrities who only appear in commercials and sometimes come out on talk shows resisting looking funny, Super Junior approaches their fans with friendliness.
Even though they are being underestimated on their achievements in music due to their talents as TV show personalities being emphasized, they are a group that the world market takes notices of and are being dubbed a moving brand and a moving medium sized enterprise.
They try a new genre each time and give diverse spectacles that the public can look at. They want to communicate with their fans and try to make contact with the public on TV, stage and with their personal space such as SNS.

Super Junior's Super News Mr. Simple

Simplicity never looked so good! Super Junior took the easy road to number one!
“Mr. Simple” is now the number one song on weekly music programs. Following Suju’s “Song Of The Week” title on Mnet Thursday, the band swept the charts once again by winning the K-Chart a day later.
“Mr. Simple” is now a bona-fide hit on Mnet!
M Countdown gave the new Smtown single the “Song Of The Week” crown on Yesterday’s episode. It was double duty for the gang band as they made their comeback and gracefully accepted their crystal award.
Honestly, who wouldn’t let Suju win? To the average person, their size is just very a little intimidating. Would you tell a group THAT BIG….. they lost?
Popular Korean idol group Super Junior's Donghae, who was initially scheduled to come to Taiwan on the 24th in order to promote the "Super Show 3 - Super Junior 3D Concert Movie" that would be screened, has unexpectedly cancelled his plans. The record company expressed that because Donghae had sustained an injury while filming a program in Korea, he was advised by the doctors to take a break after much deliberation, and was forced to cancel his trip to Taiwan.
Donghae was initially supposed to make a quick 7-hour visit to Taiwan, and participate in the press conference for the movie's premiere as arranged by his record company, but because Donghae's injuries weren't able to be healed in a short period of time, his Korean management company held an emergency discussion with the Taiwanese record company, and had decided to cancel his promotional activities in Taipei this time.
AVEX Taiwan reiterated that although the press conference was cancelled, but the premiere of the movie would go on as planned. For the sake of the “Super Show 3 – Super Junior 3D Concert Movie” which would be screened in Taiwan soon, Donghae would be representing the whole of SJ in order to participate in the press conference for the premiere, and is confirmed to be taking the flight KE691 on the 24th (of August), which would arrive at the Taoyuan Airport at 12:05pm. He will only make a short stop of 7 hours here.
At the moment, the whole of SJ is currently busy promoting their new album Mr. Simple, but because they wanted to express their thanks to the Taiwanese fans for their support, they have decided to send Donghae as a representative, in order to fulfil SJ-M’s promise which was made during their fanparty held in Taipei in early June. It is expected that the premiere press conference, which would be held at the Vieshow Cinema, would be filled to the brim.
Aside from that, their new song Mr. Simple has rapidly ascended to the champion position of various J/K* Hits Charts after its release in Taiwan. Taking advantage of the situation, AVEX Taiwan would be organising a pre-ordering event for the new album beginning on the 24th, and is expected to officially release the Taiwanese version (of the album) on the 2nd of September.

Super Junior-Happy

Super Junior (Korean: 슈퍼주니어), often referred to as SJ or SuJu (슈주), is a boy band from Seoul South Korea that was formed under SM Korea's largest producer of pop music. Super Junior debuted in November of 2005.
Super Junior has 13 members Leeteuk (the leader), Heechul, Han Geng, Yesung, Kang-in, Shindong, Sungmin, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Siwon, Ryeowook, Kibum, and later, Kyuhyun. The Chinese member, Han Geng, was chosen from three thousand applicants, via auditions held in China by SM Entertainment in 2001.
Super Junior has released and contributed in 19 different kinds of records with varying degrees of success. Over the years, they have been divided into smaller sub groups, simultaneously targeting different music industries and audiences. Largely due to Super Junior's success as entertainers, other Korean entertainment managements began to train their music groups in other areas of entertainment, such as acting and hosting. In addition to their commercial success, Super Junior has earned four music awards from the M.NET/KM Music Festival, another four from the Golden Disk Awards, and is the second singing group to win Favorite Artist Korea at the MTV Asia Awards after JTL in 2003.
Super Junior - K.R.Y, established in November 2006, is a trio consisting of Kyuhyun, Ryeowook, and Yesung. Because of their vocal strength, the company decided to bring them together as a group making them the first subgroup to spring out from the whole of Super Junior. Super Junior - K.R.Y targeted a more mature audience through their powerful ballads mixed with a hint of R&B. Though they have not released an official album as a group they performed in some of the most popular Drama OSTs.
Super Junior-Trot, officially known as Super Junior-T is the second official subgroup from Super Junior, established in February 2007. Super Junior -T's music style is a distinctive style of trot, an old-fashioned style of Korean pop music. Their revised style of the genre includes mordernized K-pop melodies and also fast rap, usually performed by Shindong, Eunhyuk, and sometimes Heechul. Super Junior-T's goal is to evade the fading genre in Korea's current music industry and to introduce the young audience to a traditional style of music, hoping to increase awareness of older trot musicians and bring hopeful comebacks of trot to mainstream music. Emergence of Super Junior-T is also due to a strategy that Super Junior has been using, which is to show that they can accommodate many different musical genres.
On November 5, 2008, Super Junior-T re-released "Rokkugo", now titled "ROCK&GO," in Japan. Presenting this project to the Japanese comedy duo Moeyan, who are skilled in combining comedy with song and dance, Super Junior-T hopes that the duo will help them localize the single into Japanese. The collaboration was the duo's official debut as singers and Super Junior-T's entrance in the Japanese market.[8] The single debuted at #19 on the Oricon Daily Charts[9] and jumped to #2 three days later.[10] Super Junior-T and Moeyan held two mini concerts on the same release date as the single in the C.C. Lemon Hall at Tokyo to promote the record.
Super Junior - M, often referred to as SJ-M, is the third official subgroup from Super Junior established in April 2008. They are the first international music group in the Chinese music industry to have members of both Chinese and Korean descent.[2] They are also the first group produced by Korea's CT (Culture Technology) organization and was created through a comprehensive localization strategy.
Super Junior - M's goal is to bring the Korean pop influence over to the Chinese market, re-representing the hits in Mandarin.[2] Similar to the style of their main group Super Junior, Super Junior-M's music style falls into the category of mainstream pop, dance, and R&B. Dance pop songs with rock and hip hop influences are easily heard in their music, such as in "Me" and "The Moment", which contains guitar riffs and heavy bass sounds. Rap is not performed as often like the main group, but these influences can be heard in "The Moment" and also the rap remakes in "Don't Don" and "A Man In Love".
Super Junior-Happy , sometimes referred to as SJ-Happy or Suju-Happy, is the fourth official subgroup from Super Junior established in June 2008. Super Junior-Happy's music style involves the common style of contemporary dance music and bubblegum pop, mainly targeting the music industry with their fun and entertaining style. Super Junior-Happy's debut single, "Cooking? Cooking!" is a dance track with refreshing rhythm and quirky lyrics. Their goal is to give fans feelings of bliss and happiness with their music.

슈퍼주니어 boy band

Super Junior (Korean: 슈퍼주니어), often referred to as SJ or SuJu (슈주), is a popular boy band from South Korea formed by S.M. Entertainment in 2005. The group debuted with 12 members:
1. Leeteuk (Leader),
2. Heechul,
3. Han Geng,
4. Yesung,
5. Kangin,
6. Shindong,
7. Sungmin,
8. Eunhyuk,
9. Donghae,
10. Siwon,
11. Ryeowook,
12. Kibum
and later added at 13th member named Kyuhyun;
they are one of the largest boy bands in the world. As of 2010, 10 members are active, due to Han Geng's lawsuit with SM Entertainment, Kangin's leave of absence for mandatory military service and Kibum's pursuit of an acting career. However, the other members have insisted that the three are still part of the group.

SM Entertainment have yet to release statements regarding their official status with the group.
Super Junior has released and contributed in 20 different kinds of records with varying degrees of success. Over the years, they have been divided into smaller sub groups, simultaneously targeting different music industries and audiences. Largely due to Super Junior's success as entertainers, other Korean entertainment managements began to train their music groups in other areas of entertainment, such as acting and hosting.
In addition to their commercial success, Super Junior has earned seven music awards from the M.net Asian Music Awards, eleven from the Golden Disk Awards, and is the second singing group to win Favorite Artist Korea at the 2008 MTV Asia Awards after JTL in 2003.

Musical style

As a whole, Super Junior has released four studio albums and one physical single, including occasional contributions to drama soundtracks. They are acclaimed for their vocal harmonization and unison as each member contributes a different position range in their music. Some members are credited for their vocal belting techniques.
Super Junior works closely with Young Jin Yoo, who has produced and arranged most of the group's promotional singles since debut. Yoo's also known for creating the renowned SMP style, a genre that includes a balanced infusion of rock, R&B, and rap, with complementing musical elements such as the electric guitar, bass, and other different percussion instruments. Super Junior has prominently used this SMP style in Don't Don.
Super Junior has covered a few songs in their albums. Their debut single "TWINS (Knock Out)" is a cover of Triple Eight's "Knockout," which was released in 2003. While the musical style is mostly maintained as the original, "TWINS (Knock Out)" touches closer to rap rock, with quicker rap and more emphasis on the bass. In most of their covers, the original titles are kept. Examples include Cape's "L.O.V.E" and Exile's "Believe." However, most of these covers are re-arranged to different accompaniments, such as H.O.T's "Full of Happiness".
Since debut, SM Entertainment has created four subgroups for Super Junior. Every member was put into different subgroups excluding Kibum, due to his busy acting schedule. The intentions of the subgroups were part of SM's strategy to not limit Super Junior's activities, and the goal was to show that the group could accommodate different musical genres. However, this strategy was later challenged by critics, as it has influenced an overwhelming amount of music groups to create official and unofficial subgroups alike.

SM announced that Super Junior will form more subgroups in the future, and possible focuses of these subgroups include a variety of genres such as electropop, rock and hip hop.Previous Super Junior subgroups will also return to the industry along with appearances of new subgroups
