On the recent episode of “Strong Heart“, actress Kim Bomi who acted in the movie “Sunny”, had revealed that Super Junior’s dancing machine Eunhyuk is her ideal type!
As the Strong Heart “tradition”, people reveal their personal stories (so this must be true), in which Kim Bomi’s was named “My love, Anchovy” (quite blunt, isn’t it?).
Following her pretty darn obvious title, she revealed, “Eunhyuk’s bright smile is kind of dorky but really cute.”
Boom had kindly informed the actress that Eunhyuk had been voted the least good looking member out of the group, in which she had responded, “I don’t like guys that are too good-looking”, causing some explosive laughter from the audience and guests.
Our adorable Anchovy had also admitted his interest towards the pretty actress with the comment, “I tried to approach her but Chansung beat me to it.”
Well, I don’t know if this is supposed to romantic, but my first reaction is LOL. Perhaps our Hyukie isn’t as good looking as the other members, but that nice dorky smile of an anchovy sure gets him some nice girls! (I mean, who doesn’t love that adorable smile and talent of his?)
Lee HyukJae (born April 4, 1986), better known by his stage name Eunhyuk, is a Korean dancer, rapper, presenter, song writer, and occasional actor. He is a part of the thirteen member South Korean boyband Super Junior. His position in the group is the lead rapper and one of the three lead dancers alongside fellow band members Shindong and Donghae.
To prevent confusion with famous Korean comedian Lee Hyeok-jae, he decided to use the stage name ‘Eunhyuk’, meaning “Silver Hyuk”.
Besides being part of Super Junior and Super Junior’s sub-groups, Super Junior-T, Super Junior-Happy and recently, Super Junior-M, Eunhyuk has made a name for himself by appearing in numerous CFs, variety shows and music programs.
Among the general audience and fans alike, Eunhyuk is nicknamed the “Dancing Machine” of Super Junior. His best friend is fellow bandmate Donghae, whom he has known for more than 10 years.
Eunhyuk was born Lee Hyuk-jae in Neunggok, Goyang, Gyeonggi. In 1999 when he turned thirteen, he auditioned for SM Entertainment through the company’s Starlight Casting System with childhood friend Kim Junsu. Kim Junsu was selected to sign a contract with the company soon after, but Eunhyuk failed the audition. He auditioned again the following year and was finally selected through showcasing his rapping and dancing abilities.
Under SM Entertainment, Eunhyuk was further trained in singing, dancing, acting, and had brief Mandarin Chinese language courses. In 2002 Eunhyuk, Kim Junsu, and another trainee Sungmin were placed in a project R&B group.
A year later, the trio along with three future members from TRAX (Jay Kim, No Minwoo, Kang Jungwoo) made a brief appearance in a show called Heejun vs. Kangta, Battle of the Century: Pop vs. Rock, in which Moon Hee-jun and Kangta individually taught them techniques on different types of singing. Later that year, Eunhyuk’s trio disbanded, and Kim Junsu debuted as a member of TVXQ in 2003.
Eunhyuk and Sungmin were instead placed together in another project group with ten other male trainees. The twelve boys formed the group Super Junior 05, being the first generation of the rotational boy band Super Junior.
With a total of twelve members, Super Junior 05 officially debuted on November 6, 2005 on SBS’s music program Popular Songs, performing their first single, “TWINS (Knock Out)”.
Their debut performance attracted over 500 fans and also garnered oversea viewers from both China and Japan. A full studio album was released a month later, which debuted at #3 on the monthly MIAK K-pop album charts.
In March 2006, SM Entertainment began to recruit new members for the next Super Junior generation. However, plans changed when the company added in a thirteenth member, Kyuhyun, and the company declared a halt in forming future Super Junior generations. The group dropped the suffix “05″ and became officially credited as Super Junior.
The re-polished group hit big after they released their first CD single “U” the following summer, which became Super Junior’s most successful single in the music charts until the release of “Sorry, Sorry” in March 2009.
Eunhyuk is an acclaimed lyricist and wrote the rap lyrics for a majority of Super Junior’s songs. The rap lyrics to “Show Me Your Love” from the winter single with TVXQ was written by him, along with Heechul and Shindong.
