As a bride, you probably have more than enough to think about, without worrying that you are buying a bunch of bridesmaids' dresses that will never see the light of day again. If you are forking out for everything then you may not need to worry about this so much, but if you are asking your bridesmaids to pay for their own dresses, then it's a very nice idea to get something more versatile for them.

It would be fantastic if your bridal party could get a second or third use out of their gowns, and here is some great advice about trends and styles that can help make that happen.

Two key rules before you start, however:

    Talk to your bridesmaids and include them in the decision-making process
    Choose styles that flatter their individual body shape and size and that they will feel comfortable in again (especially important if you are making them pay for their dresses!)

Stay away from full-length gowns

Weddings are usually a formal affair, and often the bridesmaids' dresses will be floor-length gowns perfect for a black-tie party. However, if after the wedding, your bridesmaids never go anywhere formal again, their dress is unlikely to be very versatile in the future.

Make choices that can be dressed down or made a little casual another day. Knee-length or tea-length dresses are lovely for this, especially fit and flare or A-line. The wearer can team her dress with pretty thongs and a denim jacket and totally get more than one wear out of it.

Anything very bold and that stands out a mile away looks stunning in your wedding photos but may stay in your bridesmaid's closet forever after.

Safer choices are navy, dove grey, softer pinks, yellow or greens, natural tones like browns, olive and even blacks. Prints, when done well, are good too.

Too much lace or sparkle does not date well

Too much detailing in the gown screams wedding. Very few women under sixty will wear a gown again that has lace on it, or busy beading or embroidery. These touches can be done very well, however more often they are over the top, and once again perfect for walking down the aisle, but not for going on a date.

Keep it sleeker, simpler and less fussy. If you choose detailing, make it classy, or at least easy to remove.

Clever use of colour and pattern

Patterns and contrasting colours are much more likely to get a re-wearing. Look for clever uses of black and white for example or beautiful dresses in vintage floral or tropical patterns. When your girls are all together these will look stunning, but when you take each dress individually, it gives the wearer a lot more options later on.

Choose gowns that aren't too fitted or would be difficult to adjust later

If your bridesmaids are young, or yet to have babies, then they may have some knockout figures, and you might be happy to show them off. But if you want their dresses to be versatile, don't go for too fitted, or so intricate or fussy that it can't be adjusted later. Your bridesmaids will almost certainly change shape as they grow finer with age, so give them a bit more leeway. Don't go too fitted in the legs, around the bust, or have things like shoestring straps that don't date well.

Choose simple, vintage or classical

Don't choose a dress that is so on trend that it can't be worn by next year. Make your choices more classical and simple, with well-tailored lines, graceful silhouettes, decent fabrics and as we mentioned above, not too much busy detail.

Think vintage looks; they have lasted through the years because they date well and are always beautiful and flattering. Think a 1930s style Gatsby dress, or a feminine 1950s skirt-line, or anything Audrey Hepburn or Grace Kelly ever wore. For handmade vintage styles that flatter everyone, check out this one!

Although having all of your girls matching is often the point of bridesmaids' dresses, if you really want them to wear them again, it is better to choose dresses that suit your girls' shape, style and personality.

More and more dress designers are coming on board with this versatility and will offer you a range of shapes and sizes in one colour or pattern theme. Or you could get something made up.

I remember the day someone forwarded me a video set to my song "breathe me" of a thirteen year old boy called Jonah Mowry. He was detailing his internal landscape as a young gay male in the world, and how depressed he was. I have been blessed to be surrounded by the queer community, in New York, in LA, where there is far more acceptance and positive self image, and so seeing him struggle was an important moment for me as a "human with the privilege of a platform". In that moment I decided to dedicate myself to the queer community in a more meaningful way. I am so very grateful for my queer community and would have withered away long ago without them. Specifically my manager David, who has held my hand now for 12 years, through light and dark. He recently came out publicly as HIV positive, and the transformation of his shame into self acceptance has been magic to watch. I am so happy and proud of him. I can without question say I wouldn't have made it without my queer friends, both personally and professionally, and I am forever grateful to God for creating them in all their glory.

Actor Lee Min Ho to join military service this year

SEOUL (KOREA HERALD/ASIA NEWS NETWORK) - Lee Min Ho's agency said on Tuesday that the actor will enlist in the military this year.

Officials from MYM Entertainment denied earlier reports that said Lee was planning to start his mandatary military service in March or April, adding that nothing has been decided yet.

But the company added that the actor is slated to enlist this year, since his age - 29 - makes it difficult for him to delay it any longer.

Korean law stipulates that all able-bodied men are to serve in the military for 21 to 24 months, depending on the branch of service, as the country is technically still at war with North Korea.

Lee will be assigned to a non-combat position assisting civil servants. He was deemed unfit for combat duties at the physical examination - conducted by the Military Manpower Administration - due to injuries sustained in a 2006 car accident.

Debuting in 2003, Lee played several minor roles in dramas, sitcoms and movies until his big break came in 2009 with a leading role in the KBS series Boys Over Flowers, which propelled him to superstardom.

He has most recently starred in SBS drama The Legend Of The Blue Sea, alongside Gianna Jun.

Now, says Perry, he uses his status to help other addicts in their journey to sobriety as much as possible.

8. Jada Pinkett Smith
Jada Pinkett Smith was sober for almost 20 years ago , she also says that she has not taken a drop of alcohol since. 2NE1 leader and solo artist CL (Chaerin Lee) once again graced the pages of fashion magazine W Korea, and she gave a sneak peek of the exquisite spread on Instagram.

CNBLUE's Lee Jong Hyun Says Girlfriend's Yuju Walks 'Weird'

Group CNBLUE's member Lee Jong Hyun poked some fun at Girlfriend's Yuju in the recent airing of KBS2's "Our Neighborhood Arts And Sports" on November 10.

On this week's episode, the martial arts team went on their third competition.

But prior to the competition, the members spent some time to play against female guests. The coach advised the team that in order to run away from an offender, a confident walk is important.

To show a demonstration, Yuju and Lee were chosen. Lee acted out as an offender while Yuju tried to walk confidently as she was advised to do. But Lee seemed shocked at her walk.

Rain Sets Up Dual Strategy With H Entertainment To Support Separate Acting And Singing Careers

Singer-actor Rain (Jung Ji Hoon) has set up a dual strategy with CREATE and another agency known as "H" Entertainment.

With his exclusive two-year contract with CUBE Entertainment coming to an end, the Hallyu star initially announced plans to start his own one-man agency, CREATE, in order to facilitate his future projects in the entertainment industry. Soon after, conflicting reports stated that Rain had signed a contract with H Entertainment, leaving many fans scratching their heads.

On Oct. 3, however, a representative for the K-pop singer-turned-Hollywood star clarified Rain's plans post-CUBE.

The star will set up his one-man agency CREATE as planned, but that company will exclusively serve his interests in the music industry. H Entertainment, on the other hand, will focus on boosting his acting career, but in South Korea and abroad.

Rain's one-man agency, will be handled by his longtime manager, who has been working alongside the singer since his early days at JYP Entertainment in 2002. He will be in charge of handling all of Rain's music promotions and performance related activities.

Alternatively, the CEO of H Entertainment has reportedly managed many Korean actors and will work with Rain to secure television and movie projects.

Many fans are supporting Rain and wishes him good luck.

"Rain! My best wishes to you! I honestly think RAIN will be a success," wrote Vatashi, in the comments section of an article on Allkpop about the plans.

"Too smart, I wish you much success in all aspects of his life," wrote Suflitta.

Singer-Actress IU To Hold Fan Meeting On September 20

Singer-actress IU (Lee Ji Eun) will hold a fan meeting to celebrate her seventh debut anniversary.

On Sept. 1, Loen Entertainment, revealed the news via Newsen of the 22-year-old star's fan meeting. IU also uploaded a photo along with message about the event on Instagram.

"Fan meeting in September! A more fun fan meeting than last year," wrote IU. She also noted that all the information regarding her upcoming fan meet will be posted on Loen's website.

On the August 19 broadcast of One Night of TV Entertainment, the program revealed the results of their research on which stars were the most searched celebrities for the first half of 2015.EXID came in first place on their search, beating out EXO, Girls' Generation, and Big Bang who took second, third, and sixth place respectively.

Korean MC, comedian, and radio host Kim Gu Ra ranked in fourth place and variety show star and comedian Yoo Jae Suk came in fifth place. A report by AllKpop revealed the full rankings.

According to the report, the keyword search "issue maker" came up as a related search to EXID and the two could be viewed synonymously.

One Night of TV Entertainment also revealed which stars had the most articles written on them based on their related searches for the first half of 2015. EXID ranked highest on this chart as well, with television personality Baek Jong Won, Yoo Jae Suk, After School, and Big Bang following after.

EXID sored to popularity after a fan shot video of member Hani went viral. The video successfully put the group's song "Up & Down" back on the charts after the end of their promotional period and transformed them into one of the most well-known girl groups today. With a history like this, it comes as little surprise to see EXID continue to dominate in the online world.

Leessang Make A Comeback After 3 Year Hiatus With ‘Kaleidoscope’

Hip-hop duo Leessang made a comeback yesterday after a three year hiatus with their digital single, “Kaleidoscope.”

The duo worked with female vocalist MI-WOO for this single.

“Leessang has produced and written all the songs for MI-WOO’s upcoming debut,” read a statement from Leessang Company posted Tuesday on the Korean news website OSEN. “She is the duo’s first artist that they are training to debut on their own.”

Their digital single features a mysterious and dreamy melody that accentuates Gary’s personal rap style and MI-WOO’s charismatic vocals.
